I just back from the Power and Success Virtual Business Conference brought on by the Synergi Group LLC. All I can say is WOW!!!. A week of powerful and successful women in their own right, sharing all of their wonderful business insights to those of us who want to succeed.
I learned the importance of social networking from 2TechDivas, and how to start on a shoestring by Khrys Vaugn of HerStartup . Day 5 was fabulous. Featured was Elon Bomani and the Dynamic Diva Millionare Myth, and Tammy Freeman of the Synergi Group taught us how to do more with less.
Every day of the conference was wonderful but these were the topics that stood out for me at this time. Each speaker delivered great topics and articulated themselves very well. To make it even more delightful, it was absolutely free!.
I have already begun to implement some of the strategies I have learned and will keep you informed of my progress.

Uzuri Designs has been featured as a designer on Style Conspiracy! This is a wonderful blog that features independent artists and designers. The ladies who contribute to this blog are very talented in thier own right. Be sure to check them out!
I have been away from this blog for awhile but I am not going to make excuses. There have been many improvements I am making to the company. I have been preparing media materials, refining new designs, learning new techniques and learning how I can better serve my customers.
One way to find out how to better serve my customers is to simply ask them. So I asked through this survey. And they are voicing there opinions. I love it. I have finally come up with a newsletter format that I can live with at the time being as well.
I have been bettering my self through health and wellness both physically and spiritually. I found that I needed to stop to gain insight to the direction I was going in my life. Unfortunately yet fortunately I had to say goodbye to circumstances that were impeding my progress. It was a ceremonious yet silent goodbye whispered with love and a prayer.
Things are great and I am going to do a better job of keeping ya’ll updated.
Well I have been very busy the past week or so just getting things together for the fashion show coming at the end of September. I knew I needed a slide show presentation but I just kinda forgot about it of course because I have been “updating”. I got the call last week that I need to have my slide presentation pretty quick so I had to get going. Fortunately I have access to some very beautiful people that were willing to let me take pictures of them. Keep in mind that I am no where near a professional. But here is the beautiful result! I am so Thankfulto the Most High that he allowed me to get what I consider to be these perfect shots.
Then it occured to me that a poster board would be awesome to keep at my table for vendor fairs, trunk shows and such and then with a little bit that I learned from my scrapbooking friends, I came up with this:
As it turned out, it drew quite a bit of attention at the Ebony Fashion Fair so it is a definate keeper.
There is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes on in an online business. Most people only get to see the finished product and they may think that is all there is, but there is quite a bit more.
Getting everything updated and looking uniform has been quite a challenge for me lately, I have rediesigned my website and re-redesiged my blog. I have also designed a banner for advertising. and I am working on packets for jewelry parties. Whew! Aaaannd my family and I just spent the weekend in Cleveland. Not to mention I have been making new jewelry designs for the Ebony Fashion Fair and the Xantha Presents: Neo-soul fashion show.
I love the look of the website and now I just need to get new pictures posted on my Etsy page.
Now that the children are back in school that definately will free up some time to finish up loose ends and paperwork.
I was able to pick up these new pendants over the weekend. They are very earthy-just my style. I am going to play with them this week and see what I can come up with.
