I did it, I registered for a class at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center. I start next week and I am looking very forward to learning new techniques and adding a new level of artistry to my designs. I will definately keep you posted about what’s new and up and coming.
The offerings are inspiring. They teach every thing from weaving and fabric dying to metal fabrication and bronze casting. I found the cost of taking these classes very reasonable as well. For only $48 plus your lab fee, you get 8 weeks of comprehensive instruction on the technique you are trying to learn.
I found that to be a better use of my money than taking a 1 time class at a bead store for $30-100. Not that there is anything wrong with that of course. Add to that the fact that for 4 hours every week, I get to be surrounded by wonderful artists. What could be more inspiring than that?
